Spring!

Early spring is the best time to live in North Carolina. Our Bradford pears have been blooming for a couple of weeks now and are already starting to lose the flowers and turn green!

I don't know what this tree is called, but it's in our front yard and it's also starting to bloom, little red flowers.

Ben and I went on a walk today and Shelley Lake was PACKED. This is what we refer to as "Amateur Hour", when the nice weather brings all the non-exercisers out to wander around and get in our way.

This is our neighborhood cat. He's been hanging around ever since we moved in five years ago, and is big and fat and clearly well taken care of. He used to live on our street but someone told us he's been taken in by another family a street over, so we don't see him as often as we used to. He's very friendly.

This is what Ben wore on his walk. He did not know I took this picture. He wears this every time, so it's not like he was trying to be funny. Sigh.
